The dream where I got licked...

... Snakes. There are snakes everywhere! I may have a degree in biology, but this is not what I signed up for. I just started working here at the zoo. I thought, "oh I'll get to work with animals and be around kids. It will be fun!" Boy was I wrong. My first day on the job I got spit on by a llama. Not a great way to start a new job, but I was still optimistic. Then, today I was assigned the snake encounter, which is fine because there is a piece of glass separating me from all of the snakes. So, here I am minding my own business, walking around from snake to snake, waiting for questions about the encounters, when all of a sudden I hear screaming coming from the other side of the exhibit. So many cries. My instincts tell me to run in the opposite direction, but my brain reminds me that it is my job to investigate and resolve the situation. However, the job description I agreed to said nothing about catching snake escapees. NOTHING. I can handle a baby snake that I know is not venomous, but big snakes are a whole other ball game. How in the world did all the snakes get out? Is this some Harry Potter magic? As I turned a corner to try to see how all these snakes got out, I was confronted by an albino Burmese Python. This python was huge. I am talking 20 feet, 180 pounds of slithering terror. In an instant, my life flashed before my eyes. "This is how I am going to die," I thought. Then, from out of nowhere, a man on a motorcycle busts through the doors and scoops me onto the back of his bike. "Holy cow, what perfect timing, thanks!" I say to him. He nods and begins to drive us out of the exhibit. I do notice that he is careful to avoid running over all the snakes. If it were up to me, it would be a bumpy ride. As he is bobbing and weaving around them, I feel a tickle on the back of my neck that sends a chill down my spine. I turn my head to see that giant python chasing us down at full speed. "Did that snake just lick the back of my neck..."
